Abodu Kitchen Remodeling: The West Palm Beach Owner’s Guide
If you own an Abodu home in West Palm Beach and the kitchen is starting to show its age, a full Abodu kitchen remodel typically runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, depending on cabinet line, countertop material, and whether we’re moving plumbing or keeping the existing footprint. We stock and install Abodu-compatible cabinets, counters, and fixtures, and we can usually have a written price in your hands within a few days of walking the space. Most owners call us after they notice one of two things: the cabinet faces near the sink are swelling from Florida humidity, or the original builder-grade hardware has started to sag on the hinge side.
What makes Abodu kitchens different is how tightly the original modules were built. The cabinet boxes are typically 3/4-inch plywood with a specific face-frame depth, and the counter overhang is cut to fit the factory wall panel system. That means a standard off-the-shelf replacement from a big-box store won’t always sit flush against the Abodu wall channel. We measure to the module, not to the room.
Which Abodu Models This Applies To

We work on Abodu’s Studio, One-Bedroom, and Two-Bedroom kitchen modules, including the early production units that came through West Palm Beach with laminate counters and flat-panel cabinet doors. The easiest way to identify your module generation is to look inside the sink base cabinet for a white sticker with a four-digit build code. If the code starts with “2” or higher, your kitchen uses the standard 24-inch-deep lower cabinets and a 25-1/2-inch counter overhang. Earlier units ran a shallower 23-inch box, and that measurement changes which replacement cabinets we order.
For Abodu specifically, we lean toward OEM-spec replacements when the cabinet boxes are still sound, because Abodu’s face-frame dimensions don’t match mainstream aftermarket lines one-to-one. KraftMaid and Wellborn both make lines that can be milled to match, which is what we do when the boxes are done and we’re pulling the whole run. The counter overhang on Abodu’s factory laminate is also a known issue in South Florida: the laminate edge lifts within five to eight years in the humidity, even with good ventilation. That’s a repair we do often, and it’s usually a Cambria or Silestone replacement when the homeowner wants to stop fighting the moisture.

Signs Your Abodu Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Swollen cabinet faces near the sink or dishwasher. The factory edge banding on Abodu’s flat-panel doors absorbs moisture over time, and once the MDF core swells, the door won’t close square against the frame. We see this most often on the cabinet directly left of the sink.
- Counter laminate peeling at the front edge. The heat and humidity in West Palm Beach work on the adhesive joint between the laminate and the particleboard substrate. Once the edge lifts, it catches on clothing and spreads quickly.
- Soft-close hinges that no longer soft-close. Abodu used a specific Blum clip-top hinge on most builds. When the internal spring wears out, the door slams, and the mounting plate often starts pulling out of the particleboard face frame.
- Drawer slides grinding or sticking on the lower bank. The factory slides are side-mount, ball-bearing, and they’re undersized for the weight most families put in them. Once the bearing cage cracks, the drawer drags and the front panel starts to separate.
- Caulk joints at the backsplash pulling away from the wall. Abodu’s wall panels flex slightly with seasonal humidity shifts. The original caulk line cracks, water gets behind it, and the drywall behind the module starts to stain.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In West Palm Beach, a full Abodu kitchen remodel runs $14,000 to $45,000. A smaller kitchen with new cabinet faces, a laminate or quartz counter, and a basic backsplash lands toward the lower end. A full gut with new KraftMaid or Wellborn cabinets, Cambria or Silestone counters, new Kohler or Moen fixtures, and moving the sink or range line lands toward the upper end. Here’s how the individual pieces price out for this market:
- Kitchen Remodel (full): $14,000 – $45,000
- Small Kitchen Remodel: $9,000 – $20,000
- Cabinet Installation: $4,000 – $13,000
- Countertop Installation: $2,000 – $6,500
- Backsplash Installation: $800 – $2,500
- Kitchen Island Installation: $3,000 – $10,000
Every price we quote is written before we start, and it includes the parts, the labor, the clean-up, and the walkthrough. We use Schluter waterproofing at the sink run, and the countertop fabricator we work with in West Palm Beach templates on-site so the overhang matches the Abodu module exactly. The work is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not right when we’re done, we make it right.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check the sticker inside your sink base cabinet to get your build code, and you can look at the hinge brand stamped on the cabinet doors. That tells us a lot before we even visit. What we’d rather you not do is pull the laminate edge yourself, because the substrate underneath is often softer than it looks, and once it’s torn, the counter gets replaced instead of repaired. The same goes for the cabinet boxes: the Abodu modules are fastened through the sides into the wall channels, and loosening the wrong screw can shift the whole run out of square.
Call Graham and the crew at (728) 203-3270 if you see the swelling or the lifting. We’ll come out, measure, and give you a written price. Put it in writing, then do exactly that.
FAQs

A well-built Abodu kitchen remodel with plywood boxes, solid surface counters, and proper waterproofing should last 20 to 25 years in South Florida’s humidity. The original factory laminate and MDF surfaces usually last 8 to 12 years, which is why most owners call us around the decade mark.
Yes, if the cabinet boxes are sound, we can replace the face frames, doors, drawer slides, and hinges and install a new countertop without a full teardown. That route usually runs $9,000 to $20,000 for a small Abodu kitchen. Call (728) 203-3270 and we’ll tell you honestly which approach fits your situation.
Most Abodu kitchen remodels in West Palm Beach take three to six weeks from the day we start demo to the day we hand you the walkthrough photos. Counters are templated and cut off-site, which adds about a week, and we schedule around your family’s quiet hours where we can. A written schedule with a firm start and end window comes with every quote.
We keep common replacement hardware on the truck, including Blum clip-top hinges, side-mount drawer slides, and matching gloss and matte laminate edge banding in white and gray. For cabinet lines and countertops, we order from KraftMaid, Wellborn, Cambria, and Silestone, and lead times in West Palm Beach typically run two to four weeks. We’ll tell you the exact lead time before you sign anything.
