Mighty Buildings Bathroom Remodeling: The West Palm Beach Owner’s Guide
If you own a Mighty Buildings home in West Palm Beach and the bathroom is starting to fail, we can help. We stock and install Mighty Buildings-compatible bathroom remodeling components, and a full remodel in this market typically runs between $9,000 and $28,000 depending on size, fixtures, and what we find behind the walls. Most owners call us because something specific stopped working: a warped panel, a leak at the shower seam, a vanity that soaked up humidity and swelled, or grout that keeps cracking no matter how many times it gets touched up. You’re not imagining it. The materials in a Mighty Buildings bathroom are modular for a reason, and when one part goes, it usually takes a neighbor with it.
We are independent remodelers, not a Mighty Buildings dealer or affiliate. That means we’re free to recommend the right fix instead of the official one. Sometimes that’s an exact OEM match. Sometimes it’s a better product from Kohler or Schluter that handles South Florida humidity with less fight. Either way, you get a written price before we start, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise after we finish.
Which Mighty Buildings Models This Applies To

We work on every Mighty Buildings residential floor plan that’s shown up in the Palm Beach County market, including the Studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom detached models. The bathroom layouts differ, but the failure patterns don’t. What matters more than the model name is how the bathroom was shipped and assembled. Most Mighty Buildings bathroom cores use factory-built wall panels with pre-set plumbing chases, a shower or tub module set against one panel, and a vanity mounted to the interior face of an exterior wall.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha we keep seeing: the panel thickness and mounting point spacing changed between early production runs and the units delivered in 2022 and later. A vanity that fits an early model may leave a half-inch gap or cover a plumbing access point on a newer one. Before we order anything, we measure the panel depth, the chase location, and the existing fastener line. If you’re checking your own unit, look for the build plate sticker inside the bathroom sink cabinet or on the inside of the water heater closet. It carries the production lot code. If you can’t find it, don’t worry. Measuring takes us twenty minutes on site.
For most Mighty Buildings bathrooms, we recommend OEM-spec panels only when the customer wants an invisible match. For everything else, we lean on aftermarket equivalents that are easier to source, easier to warranty, and in our experience, better suited to the humidity. That includes Schluter waterproofing membranes, Kohler and Moen fixtures, and Cambria or Silestone vanity tops when the owner wants to upgrade from the original laminate. We also stock KraftMaid and Wellborn vanities in sizes that swap cleanly into Mighty Buildings rough openings.

Signs Your Mighty Buildings Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Swollen baseboards or panel edges along the shower wall. The original factory seal between the shower module and the wall panel was never re-sealed after transit, or the caulk has pulled away with Florida’s humidity cycles. Water is getting behind the panel. It won’t dry on its own.
- Persistent grout cracks in the floor or shower surround. Modular floors flex more than site-built mud beds. Standard grout doesn’t survive that movement. You need a flexible grout or a full re-set, not another tube of caulk.
- A vanity that no longer shuts clean, or doors that rub. MDF-core cabinets absorb moisture from the Florida air and expand. Once the corner joints have swelled, sanding won’t fix it. The cabinet has to be replaced or re-faced.
- Slow drainage with no visible clog. The factory plumbing chases in some Mighty Buildings units run at shallow pitch. Over time, sediment and soap buildup outrun the slope. We see this most on second-bathroom floor plans where the chase crosses the hallway.
- Musty smell you can’t locate. That’s trapped moisture behind a shower panel or under the floor sheathing. In West Palm Beach, that moisture breeds mold within weeks. The smell is the warning. The fix is removal, drying, and re-sealing, not air freshener.

Every price we give is written before work begins. It lists the materials by brand and quantity, the labor, the removal and disposal, and the start and end window. There are no change orders unless you ask us to change the scope. Drop cloths, shoe covers, and a photo of the clean-up before the crew leaves are not line items. They’re just how we work.
DIY or Call Us?
A homeowner can safely reset a loose vanity door, recaulk a visible seam, or replace a showerhead with a new Moen or Kohler unit. Those are weekend jobs with a screwdriver and a tube of silicone. What a homeowner should not do is cut into a Mighty Buildings wall panel. The modular panels hide wiring chases, plumbing lines, and sometimes structural fasteners. Cut through the wrong one and you’ve turned a $2,000 repair into a $12,000 structural fix. If you can see mold, smell moisture, or if the grout cracks return within a month of being re-grouted, call us. Graham Stein walks every West Palm Beach job site himself before the first tool comes out. Put it in writing, then do exactly that.

FAQs

Most full bathroom remodels on Mighty Buildings homes take two to four weeks from demo to final clean-up. A vanity and shower replacement is usually done in five to seven working days. We give you a firm start and end window in the written scope of work before we start, so you can plan around nap schedules, school runs, and pets. Call (728) 203-3270 for a timeline based on your specific bathroom.
Some things can. A leaking seam can be re-sealed. A loose panel can be re-fastened. A vanity door can be re-hung. But once water has gotten behind a panel or into an MDF cabinet core, repair is a losing game in Florida humidity. We’ll tell you honestly which side of the line you’re on. Call (728) 203-3270 for a straight answer.
We stock common aftermarket equivalents that fit Mighty Buildings rough openings: Kohler and Moen fixtures, Schluter waterproofing, KraftMaid and Wellborn vanities, and Cambria and Silestone tops. OEM Mighty Buildings panels are ordered per project, since the lot codes determine which panel spec is correct. We verify measurements on site before any order is placed. Call (728) 203-3270 and we’ll check what’s available for your model.
Only if you change the scope. If you decide mid-project to upgrade from a standard vanity to a Cambria top, we’ll write a new line item and you’ll approve it before we order. The price we hand you before the first tool is unpacked is the price you’ll pay. No surprises. Call (728) 203-3270 to get your written estimate.
